Freedom Living Charitable Trust was founded in February of 2020 with one goal in mind, for Freedom Living to always think outside of the box when supporting people with physical disabilities.

Cidalia (Cid) Ribeiro, Trustee and Founder of Freedom Living, is also a parent to Sam who is 26 years old, with very high needs Cerebral Palsy. Experiencing difficulties throughout the years to find the right support services and information for Sam, Cid felt there was a need in the community for a one stop shop to make these services easier for all within the disabled community.

We were in the process of organizing the build of our social hub, when Covid-19 hit the world and everyone went into lockdown. This has unfortunately created a large backlog for everyone, setting back the timeframe for our Social Hub. With Covid-19 turning things upside down for us, we had to come up with a game change of our plans, deciding to do things the other way around in the meantime. We are now offering all the services and support we were going to have available once our building was completed and we were open to provide assistance to our members.
